As Matt and I have discussed farming over the years, it has always been a conversation of passion, love, and responsibility. We realize the importance of responsible farming, for God has made us the stewards and caretakers of the land. Beyond our social and environmental responsibilities, we also appreciate the opportunity farming gives us to create a legacy. This is a legacy we will pass on to our children… a legacy beyond just the land and crops; a legacy of hard work, humility, and care.

With a dream to have our own farm, we purchased a 1920s farmhouse with 55 acres and a few outbuildings.
Now we are inspired by what it can become- moving from conventional farming to no till and cover crops, learning to pasture raise livestock, expanding our garden, filling our pantry, and reducing the synthetics needed to do it all!
Our 3 young sons are learning and growing here. It is our goal that they experience joyful childhoods, come to appreciate the value of hard work, and come to view themselves as the stewards God called us all to be.

History
The original farmhouse was built in 1924 and comes with some of the classic “charms” of a solid, old house – beautiful wood trim, stone wall basement, and a large chimney running up the center of the house. When we took possession, the owners told us they had found numerous aerial photos of the property in one of the upstair’s closets.
